Deputies reportedly heard someone inside and asked them to out, but the person refused.

Negotiators were in the process of talking with that person of interest when a banging was heard coming from inside. A fire soon broke out at the home.

Deputies then entered the home and found the person dead inside.

The man has since been identified as 39-year-old Damien Gillaspie. Deputies say Gillaspie escaped from the Honor Farm over the weekend.

Gillaspie's exact cause of death is still being investigated.
