Good Samaritan Saves 2 People From Burning Car After Sacramento County Crash

SACRAMENTO COUNTY (CBS13) — A good Samaritan stopped and rescued two people from a burning car after a crash on Thursday.

The crash happened earlier this afternoon at Jackson Highway and Eagles Next Road. The California Highway Patrol says a Honda and another sedan collided after one of the drivers ran a stop sign.

The impact catapulted the sedan to the side of the road where it burst into flames.

That's when the good Samaritan jumped out of his crumpled Honda, moved his mother to safety, then pulled the two people inside the sedan from the flames.

Four people were taken to the hospital as a precaution, but no one was seriously injured.

The CHP is still investigating the crash.
