Photo Of Utility Worker Getting Into His Job Goes Viral

HOOD COUNTY, TX - The photo of a utility worker going beyond the call of duty has received a lot of attention, not only in the Texas community where it happened but across the globe as well.

Andrea Adams of Hood County, Texas says a week ago, an employee with the Acton Municipal Utility District came out to her home to fix a burst water pipe in the grass next to her her driveway. She says she went inside, and when she came back out, found the worker, 23-year-old Jimmie Cox, half under the water trying to clamp the line, according to CBS affiliate KYTX.

Adams tells KYTX that after she posted the photo to Facebook, people from Brazil were even commenting.

Cox says this type of thing happens all the time, and that he was only trying to pick up overtime, KYTX reports. But when he pulled up, he saw water spewing in all directions, he tried to do what was necessary to stop the leak.

"I'm real proud of him," Adams told KYTX.
