Man Found Fatally Shot In Sacramento, Woman Detained

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - Police are investigating after a man was found fatally shot late Sunday night.

The scene is along the 4600 block of 11th Avenue.

Sacramento police say officers responded to the area just after 10 p.m. and found an unresponsive man in front of a home. The man had been shot and his wounds were life threatening.

Officers and medics rushed to try and save the man's life, but he soon died at the hospital.

Detectives are now combing the scene to collect evidence. A woman believed to be in a domestic relationship with the man was detained at the scene. Her involvement in the incident is still being investigated and detectives note they don't believe any suspects are outstanding.

Police have not released the identity of the man killed.
