141 Arrested At California Electronic Dance Music Festival

SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. (AP) — The San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department has arrested 141 people outside a massive electronic dance music festival.

The sheriff's department said Sunday that they made the arrests on Saturday as they searched people on their way in to the Nocturnal Wonderland festival at the San Manuel Amphitheater.

The charges include drug possession and sale, being under the influence of drugs or alcohol, assault and battery, resisting arrest and indecent exposure. One man was taken to a hospital for injuries to his face after he was assaulted.

The large arrest number comes amid increased safety measures in the wake of recent deaths at similar festivals.

The sheriff's department says nearly 26,000 people attended the festival.
