Saddle Fire Grows To 840 Acres In Butte County

10:15 a.m UPDATE: The Saddle Fire has grown to 840 acres.

BUTTE COUNTY (CBS13) — The Saddle Fire has grown overnight to 600 acres, Cal Fire said on Tuesday.

The fire is burning off of Pentz and Lime Saddle roads, south of Paradise.

Sacramento fire crews have joined the fight.

It's forced the following evacuations:

  • Pentz Road from Malibu Drive to Missilla Valley Road, as well as any road connecting to Pentz Road.
  • Concown Road from Highway 70 and including Jordan Hill Road, Granite Ridge Road and Deadwood Road.
  • Pinkston Canyon Road and all roads leading off of it.
  • Nelson Bar Road.

Evacuations warnings are in effect on Pentz Road from Malibu Drive to Canyon View Drive.

An evacuation shelter has been set up in Chico at the Neighborhood Church at 2810 Notre Dame Blvd. Anyone needing help evacuating or sheltering animals should call (530) 895-0000.
