Grass Fire Burned Close To Homes In Elk Grove
ELK GROVE (CBS13) - Crews were able to contain a grass fire before it could damage homes Thursday afternoon.
The scene was near Bruceville Road and Big Horn Boulevard. Cosumnes Fire says numerous agencies helped in fighting the fire, which went to three alarms.
Crews credit wind blowing the opposite way with helping contain the fire, which burned close to homes.
The fire was contained just after 2:30 p.m. Crews will be out for several hours mopping up the scene.
