Car Crashes Into Building At Solano Community College; Multiple Injuries

FAIRFIELD (CBS13) — The latest on the crash at Solano Community College:

3:30 p.m.

Authorities say the crash was caused when a faculty member lost control of his car while suffering a medical emergency.

Students inside the classroom were taking a math test when the crash happened, the Solano Sheriff's Office says. A total of 15 students and an instructor were inside the classroom at the time.

The car traveled across a couple hundred feet of grass before it crashed into the building.

Deputies say the driver and one female student were transported to the hospital with moderate injuries. Five other students were also transported to the hospital with minor injuries.

Some nearby nursing students jumped in to help immediately after the crash.

A car has crashed into a portable building at Solano Community College, injuring 10 people on Friday.

No major injuries were reported after the vehicle crashed into a portable building on campus, but 2 people had moderate injuries.

The crash happened during a math test.
