Metro Fire: Grass Fire In Rio Linda Caused By ATVs

RIO LINDA (CBS13) – Authorities say a grass fire in Rio Linda on Monday was caused by people riding ATVs.

The scene was at Anderson Wood and Shingle Wood Way. Crews responded to the scene a little after 2:30 p.m. and found a grass fire.

Firefighters were able to contain the flames to around one acre. No homes were damaged and no one was hurt, but about 60 feet of fencing was burned.

Metro Fire says they believe the fire was caused by motorcycles and ATVs being ridden in the area.
