Midtown Sacramento Traffic Stopped By Stalled Union Pacific Train

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — Traffic in Midtown Sacramento was hampered by a stalled Union Pacific train.

The train started moving after more than an hour at around 10:40 a.m. on Tuesday. A broken coupling was to blame for the stoppage.

The affected area is along 19th Street in Midtown Sacramento, north of T Street.

Police advised people use freeways to avoid the blockage.

    It wasn’t a Union Pacific train, it was a BNSF train. Union Pacific employees did come and fix it for them though.
