SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – Detectives are looking for the man who reportedly sexually assaulted a 15-year-old girl walking to school.
The incident happened around 8:40 a.m. Monday. The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department says the teen was walking along the 2200 block of Wyda Way when a man who the girl didn’t know walked up to her and started talking to her.
At some point, the man then asked the girl about her age. She told him she was underage, but the man then grabbed her and started sexually assaulting her.
The girl was able to get away after striking the man, detectives say.
A sketch of the suspect has been released by detectives. He is described as a black man of average height and about 22-28 years old. He was wearing baggy jeans and a dark coat at the time of the incident.
