SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — A day after Sacramento Police released videos of the July shooting of Joseph Mann, his family gathered to call for accountability from the department.
Mann was shot to death by Sacramento Police officers following a pursuit in July.
Attorneys for the family say the videos give an accurate rendition of the facts in the case, though they would have preferred allowing the family to see the videos before they were made public.
Sacramento Police released footage on Tuesday of the July 11 pursuit and shooting of Mann. The videos from patrol cars show officers pursuing Mann, who was on foot, until he is cornered and two offers run up and open fire, killing Mann.
Robert Mann, Joseph’s brother, says what he saw on video didn’t match up with what police told him.
