‘Meatless Monday’ Resolution Passed By Sacramento City Council

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – The Sacramento City Council passed a resolution Tuesday night to declare every Monday from here on to be “meatless.”

The move is in honor of musician Paul McCartney, a noted vegetarian, who will play the first concert at the Golden 1 Center.

At least 22 local restaurants are jumping on the bandwagon and offering special meatless McCartney-themed menus this month.

McCartney swings into town next week to play shows on Oct. 4 and 5.
