CHP Patrol Car Collides With Pickup Truck Near Woodland

WOODLAND (CBS13) – A California Highway Patrol officer crashed into a car while responding to a crash in Yolo County Wednesday evening.

The scene is near Gibson Road and Pioneer Avenue. CHP says an officer was on its way to a reported crash near Highway 16 and County Road 97 around 6 p.m. when the officer collided with a red pickup truck.

A teenager was driving the pickup. Both the teen and the officer suffered minor injuries and have been transported to the hospital.

    You may want to double check the time of the Crash. I believe the crash happened closer to 1700 and not 1800. Thank you.

    The reporter wrote this article intimating the officer caused the accident. If I were the reporter’s supervisor, I would be questioning the validity of what he/she wrote. MAIT will be investigating.
