Bald Eagle Rescued From Front End Of Car
A bald eagle was rescued after it became lodged in the grille of a car.
Photos posted to the Clay County Sheriff's Office out of Florida show the symbol of America after it flew in front of a car and was stuck in its front end.
Workers at a nearby wildlife sanctuary returning from evacuations after Hurricane Matthew saw the bird, now named Matthew, lodged in the car's grille. They were able to turn around and get the driver, who they say was unaware he had a bald eagle lodged in the front end of his car, to stop.
Rescue crews were able to cut into the grille to free him, and the workers were able to get him safely into a dog kennel.
They say he'll be held for observation before being released.
