First Dog Sutter Brown Returns Home After Aggressive Cancer Diagnosis
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — California's first dog is back at home and resting after a long trip to the veterinarian.
Sutter underwent emergency surgery on Oct. 7 and spent more than a week at a pet hospital. Vets weren't able to remove all of what turned out to be an aggressive cancer in his intestines, lymph nodes and liver.
The 13-year-old Welsh corgi has been a big political figure, with more than 10,000 followers on Twitter.
Sutter made it home last night, likely for a few more days surrounded by his family, including his sister Colusa 'Lucy' Brown.
