Pair Accused Of Forcing Sacramento County Girl Into Prostitution

CITRUS HEIGHTS (CBS13) - Detectives have arrested two young adults on suspicion of human trafficking in Sacramento County.

The Citrus Heights Police Department says they've been investigating the case since September. Police say an underage girl ran away from home to be with a man she just met.

Detectives say the girl was soon forced into being a prostitute and was being sold for sex on the internet.

The girl was rescued after detectives found her in a Sacramento County hotel room. A young woman, 19-year-old Kayla Randall, was also found in the hotel room and was arrested after detectives found probable cause for human trafficking.

Investigating the case further, detectives found that the man the girl had ran away with started violently beating her and giving her drugs. Randall allegedly helped the man.

Wednesday, a $2,000,000 warrant for the man's arrest was issued. Detectives soon had the man, 20-year-old Rosemont resident Keiyonte Davis, in custody on human trafficking charges.
