Fairfield Man Accused Of Grabbing Young Girls' Butts In Stores

FAIRFIELD (CBS13) — A 10-year-old girl was sexually assaulted in a store when a man grabbed her inappropriately, Fairfield Police said on Friday.

Police say the man arrested for the crime had more than one victim.

The first case police learned about was at a Party City store, but there were at least three others, including another in Fairfield and one in Suisun.

Gabriel Ostolaza, 23, was arrested at his home on Thursday night. Police say he molested a 10-year-old girl on Oct. 30 at the Party City store on Gateway Boulevard. That led to another case at a nearby Spirit of Halloween store.

Police say they were told Ostolaza placed his hands on the buttocks of two 10-year-old children.

With the help of store recordings and witness statements, police learned of an earlier incident on Oct. 14 at a nearby Michael's store.

The investigation also tied him to a case at a Suisun Dollar Tree store where police say he grabbed the buttocks of a 12-year-old girl. Police say the mother noticed the suspect and tried to keep a good distance.

The girl didn't tell her mother what had happened until they were in the car, because she was too embarrassed and scared. The mother noticed the man was following them. When she went to a gas station, the suspect drove off.

Police are hoping more victims will come forward.
