Stanislaus County Deputy To Be Laid To Rest

MODESTO (CBS13) – Funeral services are being held Tuesday morning for a Stanislaus County sheriff's deputy killed in the line of duty.

Services will begin at 11 a.m. at Crosspoint Community Church in Modesto for Deputy Dennis Wallace, who was shot and killed on patrol last week in Hughson.

Monday night, the community paid their final respects during a public viewing.

There will be a procession following the funeral service for Deputy Wallace which could cause traffic delays.

It's expected to begin at 1:15 p.m. on 11th and Needham Streets and follow a route going from Modesto, through Ceres to Hughson.

The procession will end at Lakewood Memorial Park in Hughson.
