VICTORVILLE, Calif. (AP) - The California Highway Patrol says a long-haul truck speeding down an interstate highway in Victorville was hauling more than 200 pounds of heroin worth about $11 million when they pulled it over.

KABC-TV (http://bit.ly/2gFEVZp ) reports the truck was stopped at about 8 a.m. in the high desert city about 80 miles from Los Angeles.

Highway Patrol officers say they became suspicious when the driver began acting nervous.

A K9 officer sniffed out the heroin in the rear of the tractor-trailer rig. The drugs were packed in boxes marked with labels indicating they contained skin-car cream.

Authorities believe the truck was headed to Canada.

The driver was arrested for investigation of possession and transportation of narcotics.
