Michael Tubbs, Stockton's 26-Year-Old Mayor-Elect, Invited To White House Reception
STOCKTON (CBS13) – Michael Tubbs, Stockton's mayor-elect, has been invited to the White House for a holiday reception Wednesday afternoon.
He confirmed the invitation on twitter Tuesday morning, writing: "I was literally an intern six years ago in the freezing cold, entertaining guests at the White House Christmas party. Now I'm a guest."
The 26-year-old Tubbs beat incumbent mayor Anthony Silva.
Tubbs picked up an endorsement from the President Obama days before November's election.
