Wet Weather Coming Back In Big Way This Week

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - Much of Northern California will be under a flood watch as a significant storm rolls in on Tuesday.

The National Weather Service says mountain areas and most parts of the northern and eastern Central Valley will be under a flood watch Tuesday through Thursday.

Mountain and foothill areas could see a total of 4 to 9 inches of rain, while the valley could see 1 to 3 inches total.

The heaviest rain is expected mostly south of Interstate 80 on Tuesday, then will expand northward come Wednesday and Thursday.

Residents living near streams and rivers are asked to be aware.
