TRUCKEE (CBS13) — A large mudslide has closed westbound Interstate 80 at Truckee.

The slide happened before 6:30 p.m. on Sunday and send mud sprawling across the highway.

Concerns over potential downed power lines are slowing progress on any cleanup, which is expected to take hours.

The slide itself is so large, Caltrans will need to bring in an outside contractor to help clean it up.
