Four Dead In Highway 70 Crash South Of Oroville

OROVILLE (CBS13) - One child and three adults are dead after a head-on crash on Highway 70  in south Butte County.

The crash happened just after 7 p.m., California Highway Patrol reports, between Lower Honcut and East Gridley roads.

A Honda Civic was traveling southbound on Highway 70 when for unknown reasons it crossed the center lane, slamming into a Ford Mustang.

All four passengers inside the Honda Civic died, including a child. The two passengers inside the Mustang, a husband and wife in their mid-70s, were taken to a nearby hospital.

CHP has not released the names of those involved in the crash.
