Stockton Police Investigating First Homicide Of 2017

STOCKTON (CBS13) — Stockton Police are investigating their first homicide of 2017.

The homicide occurred in the area of Hunter and Sonora streets on Thursday afternoon. Police say an adult male died from a stab wound.

Officers later arrested 30-year-old Michael McPherson in connection to the homicide. He is also suspected in stabbings that happened later Thursday evening at the Madison Market and Wells Fargo Bank in downtown Stockton.

McPherson was booked at San Joaquin County Jail.
