3:30 p.m. UPDATE: The person detained in the bomb threat investigation has been identified as a former student of the school.


SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – One person has been detained and police are investigating a bomb threat at Cosumnes River College.

The incident began around 11 a.m. today. Police say a suspect reportedly made a threat and someone nearby alerted police. Police arrived and took the suspect into custody, according to a Cosumnes River College public information officer.

All other areas of the campus are open.
