Sacramento Police Investigating Shooting That Left 1 Dead

9:55 p.m. UPDATE: The victim in a shooting on Sixth Avenue has died from his injuries.

Police say the shooting happened outside the house. There’s no suspect information available.

Sixth Avenue remained closed heading into the 10 p.m. hour.

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — A shooting has closed part of Sixth Avenue in Sacramento on Tuesday.

The shooting happened at around 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday in the area of 33rd Street and Sixth Avenue. Police have closed Sixth Avenue through 37th Street as the investigation continues.

The victim’s condition is unknown, though investigators described them as being in “bad shape”

A suspect has not been found.
