The British actor best known for his long stint as “James Bond” has passed away.
Sir Roger Moore died after a short battle with cancer, his family said in a statement. The actor was 89 years old.
Moore portrayed the British secret agent in seven James Bond films from 1973 with Live and Let Die to 1985’s View to a Kill.
He went on to be knighted in 2003 for his charity work and, in 2008, was awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
