Republic FC Begins Prep Work At Sacramento Railyards For MLS Bid
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - Sacramento Republic FC officials announced Thursday morning that they're beginning prep work at the Railyards for a new soccer stadium.
The work comes in tandem with their bid to bring a Major League Soccer team to Sacramento.
Thursday's event was a "ground making," as prep work for the new stadium starts.
New renderings of the stadium were also released on Thursday.
MLS will make a decision on which city gets a new expansion team later this year.
The Republic FC says construction of the new stadium should wrap by February of 2020.
