Roads Shut Down, Homes Evacuated Near Jamestown Due To Wildfire

The Following is the very latest on the Jacksonville Fire in Tuolumne County.  The most Current information is at the very top of this post.

7 pm Update:

Local Fire Departments are joining the fire fight on the frontlines of the #JacksonvilleFire.  Crews from the Keys Fire Protection District and the French Camp McKinley Fire District have sent engines to respond to the wildfire.

From Cal Fire:

The fire has grown to 600 acres and is 30% contained.

 

 

UPDATE FROM CAL FIRE:

Update From the Tuolumne County Sheriff's Office at 5:25 PM:

Reverse 911 message went out to the entire county. There's a follow-up message that went out as well. The only areas under evacuation advisory and mandatory evacuations are listed below.

Update at 4:40 PM: Evacuation advisories are being issued to Campbells Flat Road, Meadowlark Lane, and Blackbird Lane.

4:07 pm update: Additional Road closures at Algerine at Wards Ferry and Lime Kiln at Wards Ferry. Evacuations advisories have been issued for Algerine Road, Twist Road, and Hog Mountain Road.

Jamestown CA (CBS13)- A wildfire has shut down roads and caused an evacuation of at least two homes near Jamestown Saturday afternoon.

Cal Fire tells CBS 13 that the fire has grown more to as big as 130 acres since it was reported.   The fire was reported being started in the 15,000 block of Jacksonville Road in Jamestown.

At least two homes were evacuated and Jacksonville Road has been shut down between Highway  120 to Stent.  Algerine Road is also closed.
