Suspect Taken To Hospital After Officer-Involved Shooting In Modesto
MODESTO (CBS13) – Authorities in Modesto are investigating an officer-involved shooting late Monday morning.
The scene is near Oakdale Road and Lancey Drive at the Oakmoor Shopping Center.
Modesto police confirm they're investigating an officer-involved shooting and that a suspect has been taken to the hospital.
No officers were injured in the incident, police say.
Officers are focusing their investigation on the suspect's car at the scene. Police aren't saying whether the car was stolen or whether officers were involved in some sort of pursuit.
None of the businesses at the center, including the Bank of America, were tied to the incident.
Police say the suspect was struck at least once by gunfire. The suspect's condition is not known at the moment.
