Man Dead After Shooting In Oak Park
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – Police are investigating a deadly shooting in the Oak Park area early Tuesday morning.
The scene was near the intersection of 8th Avenue and San Carlos Way.
Police responded a little after 1 a.m. A resident says he heard at least 20 shots; officer soon found a man near the corner of the intersection who had been shot multiple times.
The man was taken to the hospital by medics, but he was pronounced dead several hours later. His identity has not been released at this time.
Detectives are still trying to figure out what led up to the shooting. There is no indication, at this time, that the shooting is gang-related, detectives say.
Officers are still at the scene gathering evidence and looking for any possible witnesses.
