On Mother's Day weekend, challenge mom to a triathlon or stroll through the beautiful gardens of East Sac's "Fabulous Forties" neighborhood while sneaking a peak of the "Lady Bird" house from the Academy Award-nominated film. There's no better way to celebrate mom and all the special things she's accomplished throughout the years than by challenging her to a mother-daughter triathlon at Folsom Lake. The 7th Annual Mothers Day Triathlon and Duathlon for Women. The race starts at Granite Beach in Folsom on May 13 at 9 am. Beautiful finisher Medals will be awarded to winning racers in addition to post-race free massages and a hot meal for each participant. The Mother's Day Duathlon and Triathlon hosts a 400 yard swim or 2 mile run, a 6.5-mile bike ride and 2-mile running course for women and girls.
