I rented from Hokee homes in Elk Grove 5/2010-6/2011 and was very happy. I had a great experience although I never met anyone from the company-they had a local realtor do my walk through and provide a new garbage disposal for me half way through the year. My contact was ‘Winnie’ from San Jose-she called me back quickly whenever I had a question. I do agree with one post–keep all receipts-there is a real sense that finances are not managed by the contact person. I moved to save some money and tried to rent from them again but at the time they had no homes in my price range. I hope you’ll have the same good experience.

Thats the same as “YOU HAVE WON 42 MILLIONS DOLLARS, SEND US 42400 AND WE WILL SEND YOUR CHECK RIGHT OUT” dUH?? Don’t do it, most likely a scam and you might loose more than your money…

I don’t believe the company has a valid DRE license to begin with. Without a valid DRE license it’s illegal to do leases and take any money. They must also have a trust fund account separate from their personal account or it’s called commingling. My advice to everyone is do a background check on this company if it isn’t report them to DRE (Dept of Real Estate)

The Company is legit. I have rented from them for 3 years. My advice to you is to keep all the deposit slips because their accounting department makes alot of mistakes. And yes they have never came and inspected the property

“Hokey Homes” Doesn’t sound lagit

You’d be crazy to rent from anyone that isn’t even willing to come meet you face to face…..NOPE, DON’T DO IT!!! Just from what I read, they don’t even sound legit.

My sister is just entering a lease with these people and so far has not met them either. She went through this tenant referral service named Moroti realty and has questions about their legitimacy also. Has there been any changes since your last post?
