why do stockton police search for some missing people but not others?
My sister Veronica Jones has been missing since June 28th, 2011. I have been doing all of the posting of the flyers and actively searching for my sister myself. Then I ran across your article of a 23 year old stockton woman missing since last Sunday and the police are actively looking for her. I don’t understand why the police look for some people and not others. I find this outrageous and discriminating. My sister is mixed Mexican and Black and I believe her nationality plays a role in why the police are not looking for her. I have been in contact with the police a couple of times a week and they constantly tell me that it’s not a crime to be missing and that I should remain calm and just wait for a body to show up!! That makes me furious. The police have not put my sister in the newspaper or given her any exposure at all but this 23 year old is already in the newspaper. This makes me sick to my stomach.

my sister was found in a stockton apartment complex on early monday morning. she was decomposed for 6 months. and the suspect devon epps was living there the entire 6 months with my sisters body laying next to a tub in downtown stockton. I made several attempts to give the stockton police a lead as to my sisters whereabouts. They did nothing at all. the manager of the complex even stated that he called stockton p.d on 6 or 7 seperate occasions, and yet the police still did nothing to go in the apartment. How do I get stockton p.d to be held accountable/? If they had done something more to get into that apartment early on when I asked them too, then my sister Veronica Jones would probably still be here with the family. I think this is a major injustice. Darlene Carlson was missing for two days and the stockton police were extremely active looking for her. This makes me furious. Where is the justice in all of this?
Some of these questions can be tough, but at this time you have to face them. I went through a similar situation with my daughter but I worked with the police and gave photos and iut took some time but we found her. So has your sister ever done this before? Did she have any mental/emotional issues that could make her feel a desire to”disappear”? Maybe in a psych ward. Are there any addictions? maybe she could be in rehab.Does she have friends out of state she could go and stay with. Is it a possibility that she got enticed into escorting? Check redbook.com or craigslist. Has the pd dropped the case? Maybe the have information that shes okay but unable to give iut to you. My prayers are with you.
first i would like to say thank you for the response. My sisters name is Veronica Jones and she is a 35 year old black and mexican woman from Stockton, CA. She does not have any credit cards but she does collect social security and I feel that if the police or the social security office would simply let me know if there has been any activity with her card then I would have peace of mind if my sister is still alive. The police will not get any information from the social security office which i think is critical. My sister has actually been missing since May 28th and not June 28th as a have previously posted.
