Agreed on McFadden’s turnaround. Anyone who saw Darren Mac @ Arkansas knows he’s a 3 legegr. Returns, running, receiving. But in the past 2 years, the Raiders used him more inside. Big mistake. Darren Mac makes more plays on the perimeter. Bush, their big bruiser should an inside runner. Now, I like how they use D Mac as a receiver. That’s what I’m talking about when I see other OCs using the playmakers talent the right way. Hue’s using D Mac for his talents. D Mac’s a 6-2 225 lb steamroller .would’nt you get pumped as a match up on a 5-10 180 lb DB covering D Mac? I like those odds. Here, for example, Bernard Scott gets maybe 5 offensive touches plus kickoff returns a game. Not nearly enough plays for Scott. Scott is an excellent receiver, use him on those plays too. Brat uses Gresham like the old style of TE. A 5 yard pass as a safety valve. Wrong use of Gresham. Anyone who saw Scott’s and Gresham’s tapes in college and how they’re used here would agree Brat’s wasting their talents. Hell, 1970s TE Bob Trumpy used to go deep many times for the Bengals. So did Rodney Holman, Dan Ross, ML Harris.I thionk Scott could be another James Brooks, Brian Westbrook, Steve Jackson, Darren Mac . A RB who adds a receiving dimension. We’ll never see good use of all of our playmakers because of Brat. And that falls on Brat alone.
