I guess that your brain is “useless”. When the Havenly Father created man and woman, He created them with no “extra parts” , so don’t tell me this lie. Go and study more and you’ll find it out. God bless You with more wisdom!
Argumentum ad Invisibleskywizardum.
No useless parts? Right wing nut-jobs are useless parts to humanity as a whole, so I believe you are incorrect. Also this list should have the pinky toe added to it.
Don’t forget the gallbladder – don’t need that either, just had mine removed. Dan knows not what he speaks of. I hope he never has a case of appendicitis or has gall attacks that don’t resolve, removing both of those items didn’t hurt me (other than the surgery pain)…and they don’t do anything that isn’t already done in my body. In fact, there are many more things we don’t need and can have taken out when they start creating acute or chronic pain or infection. We can even do with one kidney, we don’t have to have 2 to live a normal life.
There ARE leftovers that are phasing themselves out as we change but if he doesn’t realize and believe that we have evolved over the millenia, then how can a person really try to speak to him about it. Believe your hocus pocus oh Dan the All-knowing. I hope you have uneventful guts.
And this is in agreement with you Anti-Dan, I wasn’t going against you lest there be any confusion, my Dan comment was directed at the Dan who commented at 1:59pm, 1/7.
The only usless body parts are left wing morons that can’t seem to tell fact from fiction and actuall understand history and the denise of entire cultures base on comunistic rule (take from those that work hard and give it to those who dont!)
If America is so “bad” or “right wind” as you put it LEAVE there are plenty of countries that have exactly what you are looking for……….Oh yeah…..you only wnat to take away others rights and money……….not yours……
The appendix is not useless it stores good gut bacteria when people get washed out by dysentary so it repopulate the intestines.
God gave us the intelligence of science. There does not need to be a battle between evolution and faith. God has kept everything going, including evolution, as it is a form of adaptation to the cycles of the world. The fittest will survive. I believe that much of the bible is allegory subject to the culture and knowledge at the time it was written. Nor do I believe that humans can cause earthly changes such as ice ages and global warming. They have gone on long before humans were in existence (created).
okay useless-but I will keep mine just the same.lol
Crawling by babies? Walking on all 4s by the disabled?
Not so useless, ah?
In addition to a lot of immune system function, a missing appendix is a death sentence outside of hyperhygeine environments. A great many creatures have this or similar organs to save their lives when intenstinal flora are evacuated.
There is even a doctor who now gives poop transfusions to patients in nursing homes that lack appendae, who are in the misery of digestive failure.
Coccyx are the anchor site for a ton of abdominal and back muscles. While not life threateningly essential, it is quite useful.
In the 1850s, the hubris of enlightenment rationalist physicians led them to compile a list of 230 vestigial organs in the human body. When patients underwent surgery, doctors would regularly cut out these structures, which often led to prolongued illness and death.
This is an argument of ignorance. Its based on the old “we dont know what its for, so therefore it must be vestigial” In the 19th century Robert Wiedersheim put together a book with 80 or more supposed vestigial organs that we now know serve a function including the liver, spleen, appendix, bone marrow, and small collections of lymphatic tissue such as the tonsils in the throat and Peyer’s patch in the small intestine-are also part of the lymphatic system. They too help the body fight infection. Even after decades of false alarms people still repeat this myth. Unfortunately you still occasionally find some body parts listed as vestigial until you look deeper and discover the finding to be premature. Corrections seem to take decades and sometimes even more to correct.
