Sacramento Hosts Public Art Project in Response to Orlando Attack, Saturday, June 18The Sacramento LGBT Community Center, Latino Center of Art and Culture, Team Darrell Steinberg, The California Endowment , Councilmember Steve Hansen, Congressman Ami Bera, Tony “The Tiger” Lopez, community leaders and members of the general public lead a public art project as a symbol of solidarity with the LGBTQ community on June 18th at the LGBT Community Center parking lot. Newly designed signs created in response to the attack in Orlando will also be available for the public, including a "Pride over Prejudice" rainbow sign copy The intended outcome of this event was to turn all regional businesses, community gathering spaces and neighborhoods into very public and visual displays of Sacramento’s support for "Pride over Prejudice."
