Make-A-Wish Annual Breakfast to Grant Wishes to ChildrenMake-A-Wish® Northeastern California and Northern Nevada hosted their annual Wake Up For Wishes breakfast at the Sacramento Convention Center on Wednesday, November 8 to thank supporters and highlight four wishes that they granted this year. At the event they surprised two local children in big ways. Samuel, four, who battles kidney cancer, learned from retired Astronaut Stephen Robison that his wish to see a ‘real’ spaceship was coming true in January! Samuel’s wish is sponsored by the chapter founder and local business man Frank Ramos. The second child that was surprised was Dominic, 15, who battles bone cancer. His wish was granted last month to give out Thank You awards to many who helped him through the difficult journey of fighting cancer. One of the people Dominic had wished to be at his Night of Gratitude was his grandmother, Amy, from Texas. So Make-A-Wish flew her out to surprise him on stage at the breakfast. His wish was sponsored by Five Star Bank and was enhanced by Shutterfly.

Kyle FlahertyFebruary 9, 2009 at 10:37 amDavid, sorry to take a month to get back to you! I actually do think lreukr is still a negative term, hence why I like listner . Lurkers are all around us unfortunately and will never engage, even when called out. Listeners on the other hand are looking to engage, but need to know they can trust you first (or at least that you know what you are talking about)./kff Reply

I have no idea where to go next, I really REALLY mean it! This story has been stuck in the mud since (checks the dmnuoect properties) oh dear lord, September 2005!So come on, more ideas! We need setting (some kind of office is implied from the intro, but what sort of office/how big is open). We need a wider cast of characters. And perhaps most importantly, we need a plot. Or at least a goal that Colin will be aiming towards. So far the CC thinks Colin needs a pet, Moose has some madcap scheme involving global warming and a character straight out of the pages of a Clive Cussler novel, whilst JB just seems to want to hear more about Amanda the Well Endowed :rolleyes_wp:Oh, and expect something with minimal dialogue. I suck at doing voices. My father was always great doing the voices when he read for me as a kid. Sadly, that’s one talent I haven’t inherited.(And I do apologize for the style, but I was heavily under the influence of Tom Holt (and thesis stress) when I wrote that bit).
