On Thursday night, Andy Dalton and the Cincinnati Bengals capitalized on the Eagles five turnovers to improve their standing in the AFC playoff picture. They now just need one win. Dalton threw for just 127 yards and one TD and was sacked six times. The Bengals rushed for a total of 157 yards. Matt Ryan and the Atlanta Falcons made a statement to the rest of the league with a shutout win over the Super Bowl Champion Giants. Ryan threw for 270 yards and three touchdown passes as the Falcons handed the Giants their first shutout loss in the regular season since 1996. The loss also drops the Giants into a tie for the NFC East. But the team does not hold the tie-breaker advantage, making their post-season prospects a little murky. Peyton Manning and Knowshon Moreno dominated the Ravens to improve the Broncos record to (11-3) and put them one game closer to a first round bye in the playoffs. Andre Johnson caught the ball 11 times for 151 yards and a touchdown as the Texans clinched the AFC South with the win. If the Texans win next week they will secure home field advantage in the playoffs. The Jaguars' Chad Henne returned to face his old team, the Miami Dolphins, but it was not a return Henne hoped for. The Dolphins stopped Henne and the Jaguars three times in the Red Zone and limited them to three points. Drew Brees threw for 307 yards and four touchdowns, and the New Orleans Saints defense intercepted Josh Freeman four times and recovered a fumble. The end result was a 41-0 shutout of the Tampa Bay Bucs. The shut out is the Saints' first since 1995 and extends the Bucs losing steak to four games, ending their playoff hopes. For the second straight game, the Seattle Seahawks scored at least 50 points. This time they allowed their opponent to score some points as well. Russell Wilson threw for 205 yards and 1 TD and ran for 92 yards and 3 TDs as the Seahawks racked up 31 points in the first half. On second down, Ben Roethlisberger was intercepted by Brandon Carr. Carr returned the ball to the 1 yard line, setting up Dan Bailey for the game-winning field goal. The New York Jets couldn't capitalize on a huge opportunity with less than a minute to go in the game. Sanchez threw one of his four interceptions with less than two minutes in the fourth quarter, but the Jets defense was able to hold the Titans behind their five yard line. The Titans were forced to punt but muffed the kick, giving the Jets a first down on the Titans 25-yard line.
