Injury Report: Raiders Still Wounded As Final Weekend Approaches

The Oakland Raiders have one more game in 2014 before they pack it in for the winter, and many of the same players still have injuries either keeping them out of practice or game day itself. The best news is that rookie quarterback Derek Carr is ready to go for Sunday after experiencing an undisclosed illness.

Team Grades: Once Again, Raiders Prove Coliseum Is No Easy Place To Win

The Oakland Raiders improved to 3-12 on the season with a 26-24 win over the Buffalo Bills at the Coliseum on Sunday. That’s three straight wins at home for the Silver & Black if you’re keeping track at home, and it’s also the third consecutive victory at home over a team that had playoff aspirations still. Yes, these 2014 Raiders may have found the secret formula to defending their home turf—finally.

Injury Report: Oakland A Little Banged Up Heading To Kansas City

Six different Oakland Raiders were unable to practice on Thursday, leaving their statuses for Sunday’s game in Kansas City questionable. That could hurt the Silver & Black’s chances of securing a season sweep over their reeling AFC West rivals this weekend. But don’t worry: Linebacker Sio Moore will be on the field.

Thursday Night Fantasy Starters: Jamaal Charles, Chiefs Defense And Andre Holmes

Head coach Andy Reid won’t let his team let up against the Raiders and blow an opportunity for a victory, and quarterback Alex Smith is too smart to take any opponent lightly.

How The Raiders Improve For 2015 Since This Season Is Lost Already

Regardless of whether the Oakland Raiders win a game this season or not, the year is lost. It’s time to look at next season’s roster, anticipating that a new general manager and a new permanent coach will be in charge of the Silver & Black for 2015 and beyond.

Raiders Offense Needs To Stay Wide Open Going Forward In 2014

In Week Six, the Oakland Raiders’ offense set season-high marks in total yards, passing yards and rushing yards. If this is Interim Head Coach Tony Sparano’s plan for staying competitive with a bad defense, it’s not necessarily a bad plan. Rookie quarterback Derek Carr had his best game of the year against San Diego, and the sky is the limit for the youngster going forward this 2014 season.

Grades: Raiders Can’t Hold On In 4th Vs. Chargers

The 2014 Oakland Raiders cam every close to getting their first win of the season on Sunday. In fact, they held the lead in the second half for the first time all season. But in the end, the San Diego Chargers’ offense was too much for the Silver & Black’s defense, and the Chargers escaped with a 31-28 victory over the Raiders.

Team Grades: Raiders’ Valiant Effort Comes Up Just Short

The Oakland Raiders were driving for the tying touchdown against the New England Patriots on the road late in the fourth quarter when disaster struck: a deflected interception ended the game with the Raiders coming up short, 16-9. The defense did its job for once; the offense did not.

WR Holmes Showing Up Big Again For Raiders

Andre Holmes is the biggest wide receiver on the Oakland Raiders roster. He’s playing like it, too. The 6-foot-4-inch, 210-pound has been quarterback Matt Schaub’s most consistent downfield threat since the team began practicing, following […]

Raiders Can Focus On Evaluating Talent For 2014 Instead Of Worrying About Injuries This Week In San Diego

The 4-10 Oakland Raiders have a mostly-healthy roster for their Week 16 matchup on the road against the 7-7 San Diego Chargers, which means the Silver and Black will be focusing on shaping their 2014 plans a little early this holiday season.
