Raiders Defense Has To Be Better In Week 2 If Oakland Wants A Win

The Oakland Raiders gave up 402 yards in their opener against the New York Jets on the road, even though they gave up just 19 points. Some of that was due to the Jets QB struggling to hold on to the ball, of course, but the Silver & Black defense will need to be a lot tougher at home in Week Two for the Raiders to emerge victorious against an efficient Houston Texans offense.

Same Old Story For Raiders: Close, But No Cigar

The Oakland Raiders defense bent a lot on Sunday in New York, but it didn’t break much. Unfortunately, that wasn’t enough for rookie QB Derek Carr to get a win in his first NFL start as the Jets won the game, 19-14.
