NWS Confirms Tornadoes Touched Down In Elk Grove And Yuba City
A tornado touched down just south of Yuba City on Monday afternoon and there was also a reported touchdown in Yuba County and damage from a funnel cloud in Elk Grove as the first weather system of the season pounded the Sacramento Valley with hail, lightning and fierce winds.
Dangerous Weather Forces Sierra Resorts To Close Sunday
Holiday vacationers had to see the Sierra slopes from inside the lodge at the bottom of the hill after extreme winds forced many resorts to shut down the weekend before Christmas.
