Crews are hoping to make a big push against the Robbers Fire in rural Placer County with the break in the weather.
Evacuations remain in effect for the communities of Yankee Jims Canyon, Shirttail Canyon, and Iowa Hill as the Robbers Fire in Placer County grows to 2,400 acres on its fifth day.
By Saturday, the fire had spread to 1,950 acres, and has only been 20 percent contained, up from Friday evening’s 10 percent.
