UPDATE: Sacramento Man Charged With Starting Robbers Fire

A 28-year-old Sacramento man was arrested on Friday and charged with causing the Robbers Fire that has burned more than 2,600 acres in rural Placer County.

There are 1,800 personnel working the fire, focusing on the area around Yankee Jims Road and the community of Iowa Hill. No structures have been damaged yet but 150 homes have been evacuated, affecting about 300 people.

Some Robbers Fire Evacuations To Be Lifted, Evacuation Center To Close

As firefighters continue to make good progress in the Robbers Fire, mandatory evacuations are set to be lifted Wednesday morning and the evacuation center will also close.
