Disgruntled Oakland Raiders linebacker Rolando McClain is back after his two-game suspension. Head coach Dennis Allen will use him as a backup to Omar Gaither and on special teams. Raiders defensive tackle Richard Seymour and cornerback Michael Huff were both limited in practice as they recover from various ailments.
The 3-10 Raiders continue to make roster cuts to players who aren’t performing as the front office expected. This week featured the release of cornerback Ron Bartell and the reinstatement of disgrunted linebacker Rolando McClain. There is also speculation that long-time punter Shane Lechler will not return next season given his advanced age and high salary.

Troubled linebacker Rolando McClain was absent from practice Wednesday for “team related issues.” McClain has been a major disappointment and has seen his playing time drastically reduced since the first month of the season. Running backs Darren McFadden and Mike Goodson returned to practice for the first time in nearly a month.
Rolando McClain is a highly-paid linebacker for the Oakland Raiders. After a promising rookie season where he made the highlight reels for his body slam of St. Louis Rams receiver Danny Amendola, McClain made news for his off field problems, most notably in 2011 for allegedly threatening to kill a man and firing a gun next to his head.
The Raiders have 16 players in the injury list while the Bucs have only four. But Tampa Bay is missing left guard Carl Nicks who is a big part of the Bucs offense. Can the Raiders defense exploit his absence?
