Fireworks are always a hit for the Fourth of July. The sky gets dark, the crowds hold their breath, and then the booms and bursts begin. There are other events on this day that emphasize other things; family, picnics, parades, and just plain, old-fashioned good times are available all over the greater Sacramento area. Here are just a few, with and without the pyrotechnics.
