San Francisco 49ers
It’s hard to win when you play like the 49ers did Sunday Night. When you get called for 13 penalties and commit 4 turnovers its hard to win in the NFL. They still outplayed Chicago and had a chance late to win, but fell short.
Jay Cutler passed for three fourth-quarter touchdowns after much of Chicago’s starting defense went down, and the Bears beat the San Francisco 49ers 28-20 Sunday night to spoil their Levi’s Stadium debut.
It’s only week 2 and both the 49ers and Bears are both less than 100% entering an important matchup. Outside of Anthony Davis all players are a question mark, so hopefully injuries will have a minimal effect on the outcome.

One week down, sixteen to go. If the NFL offseason hasn’t cornered the market on football hyperbole, instant reaction from week one gives it a run for the money. Every team is either undefeated or […]
The first NFL regular season game played at Levi Stadium has the San Francisco 49ers hosting the Chicago Bears. On paper, Chicago is very similar to San Francisco’s week 1 opponent the Dallas Cowboys. The Bears have an offense that can score points at will, an inconsistent passer and a less than spectacular defense.
Coach Jim Harbaugh announced the move Monday, a day after his team’s 28-17 win at Dallas. James has sought a greater role in the running game, but he had just two carries for no yards against the Cowboys on Sunday.
All the problems that seemed to be facing the 49ers were worked out on the field. The offense looked fine, the defense stepped up and the result was a road win, that was far from a lock. f the 49ers can continue to improve, they will be back in the thick of things at the end of the season.
Colin Kaepernick and the San Francisco 49ers can put a tumultuous offseason behind them. They have a rusty Tony Romo to thank for making the opener a little easier.
