ALAMEDA, Calif. (AP) The Oakland Raiders will release safety Tyvon Branch before the start of the new league year next month. The team told Branch of the plans Thursday to cut ties with one of Oakland’s […]
Regardless of whether the Oakland Raiders win a game this season or not, the year is lost. It’s time to look at next season’s roster, anticipating that a new general manager and a new permanent coach will be in charge of the Silver & Black for 2015 and beyond.
The last thing the 2014 Oakland Raiders need is more injuries to their defense, but that’s what they get this week as they prepare to play the Cleveland Browns Sunday on the road. If the Silver & Black can’t stop anyone’s offense, they’ll never win a game this year.
So much for staying healthy after the bye week. The Oakland Raiders’ official injury list almost doubled this week from last, as eight players are nursing sore body parts. How that will impact Sunday’s game against the Arizona Cardinals at the Coliseum is still not clear.
The Oakland Raiders have plenty of duds to explore so far in the young 2014 season, but it’s tough to find some studs in the debacle that has contributed to an 0-4 start to the year. The Silver & Black just don’t have much to highlight right now, which means it’s going to be a long season.
The Oakland Raiders have a bye week to lick their wounds from the 38-14 loss to the Miami Dolphins at Wembley Stadium in London last weekend. If the Silver & Black wants to win in Week Six against the San Diego Chargers at the Coliseum, they need to fix many things in the next two weeks.

Heading into Sunday’s Wembley Stadium matchup against the Miami Dolphins, the Silver & Black also will be without backup quarterback Matt Schaub.
The Oakland Raiders have placed safety Tyvon Branch on injured reserve and claimed Brandian Ross off waivers from the Miami Dolphins. Branch broke his foot in Sunday’s loss at New England and will miss the rest of […]
Tyvon Branch has gone from being one of the most experienced members of the Oakland Raiders defense to one of the unproven ones after missing almost an entire season with an injury. An injection of […]
The Oakland Raiders have some injury issues at running back, and the New York Jets have some health concerns at wide receiver — and both teams might just want to get through their next four games as fast as possible.
Oakland’s roster is pretty healthy right now, which is good news as the Raiders host the Philadelphia Eagles Sunday and try to get back to .500 on the 2013 season.
The Oakland Raiders enjoyed their bye week by taking a much needed break after losing three of the last four games. Still, they know there is work to be done but a little rest and relaxation was just what coaches called for to maybe help improve the offense and keep the defense running at a good pace.
