Labor Day may mark the end of summer, but that doesn't mean the fun has to stop.

The three-day weekend has something for just about everyone in the Sacramento area. You can turn back time as you step into simpler days, get your groove on with some reggae music, and celebrate culture, art and community.

14th Annual Gold Rush Days

More than 200 tons of dirt will cover the streets of Old Sacramento as this annual festival turns back the clock, transforming Sacramento's historic district into a scene straight out of the 1850s. Costumed performers portray historical figures, personalities and just plain folks, bringing history to life while old-timey musicians perform on multiple stages, evoking the vivid tunes and sounds of the times.

The Rainbow Festival is the larger of two annual Sacramento pride events. Rainbow is based on an entertainment-centered lineup including events at local nightclubs, a street fair with multiple stages, internationally recognized headline acts, local and regional talent, as well as guest political speakers, and over 100 informational and vendor booths.
